Assignment: Perform a financial benchmarking analysis assessing cash burn relative to comparable companies

Our client is an emerging biotechnology company engaged in the discovery, design, and development of therapies for the treatment of cancer with a program in Phase II clinical testing. For our client, we assessed its cash burn compared to other companies at a similar stage of development. Torreya provided a number of services which included defining the number of years of cash remaining on the company balance sheet, benchmarking the number of years of cash with similar biotech companies with lead product candidates in Phase II clinical development, examining future clinical development and financial consequences of the spend decision, and performing competitive analysis.
