Sandy is a Principal at Torreya and is also registered with Financial West Group, Torreya’s financing partner. Sandy brings 17 years of proven experience in investment banking, investing, business development, M&A and management. Prior to Torreya, Sandy was CEO of Pathways Diagnostics, a biomarker development company. Previously, Sandy was CFO of Bay City Capital, a merchant bank specializing in the life science industry, and was responsible for oversight of the firm's finance department as well as President of the firm's M&A and financing division. Formerly, Sandy was President and CFO of Epoch Biosciences (acquired by Nanogen), a Certified Public Accountant for Coopers & Lybrand, and held various investment banking positions focusing on biotech. Sandy received his B.A. in Biology from UC San Diego and holds an M.S. in Human Physiology from UC Davis.
