John has held management positions in the pharmaceutical industry over a 10 year period. Most recently he was Senior Director of Business Development at sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals in Bridgewater, New Jersey where he coordinated sanofi-aventis' business development activities in oncology, diabetes, CNS and rheumatology. During his tenure, John identified assets leading to transactions with net value of approximately $3 billion. Building on his considerable interest in the venture capital and private equity sectors, John established working relationships with more than 20 leading US-based life science venture and equity firms. From 2004-2007, Dr. Cullity led sanofi aventis' strategic pricing department assuming responsibility for price management of the company's $US15 billion market portfolio including brands such as Plavix, Lovenox, Ambien, Eloxatin, Taxotere and Lantus. Additionally he was responsible for placing provisional price points on developmental assets in Phase 2-3 settings. Between 2001-2004, Dr. Cullity served at Schering-Plough where he founded the strategic pricing unit and directed oncology health economics. Leading up to his pharmaceutical career, John worked for AT Kearney Management Consulting, The World Bank, World Health Organization and, over a five year period, as a clinician at teaching hospitals both in the UK and Australia.
Dr. Cullity holds an M.B.A. from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, M.Sc. (Econs) from London School of Economics, Internal Medicine Boards from the Royal College of Physicians UK, and received his primary medical degree from the University of Western Australia.
