Tom is an accomplished life sciences executive and has completed several M&A transactions since joining Torreya in December 2007. He is strong in the areas of acquisitions, divestitures, licensing, partnerships and due diligence. Tom is also an accomplished strategic planner with a focus on planning process, development and implementation. His expertise lies in the world of specialty pharmaceuticals, life science tools, generic products and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Tom is also active in providing strategic consulting services to life science clients. He previously was Vice President, Corporate Development at Cambrex where he was involved in a number of divestitures and acquisitions. Tom was also a President of the Biosciences Group of Cambrex where he built BioWhittaker through acquisitions into a powerhouse in the supply business in cell biology, stem cells, electrophoresis gels and reagents. Previously, Tom was President of Nepera Chemical, President of Cuno, and President of the Consumer Products business of Sherwin-Williams. Tom received a B.A. from Muhlenberg College and conducted graduate studies at the University of New Hampshire.
